I met Nathan in the metro one afternoon, where he very smoothly understood how to open an interesting conversation. We got out at the same stop and were so much into the conversation that we ended up having tea and dinner together that same evening. We have been good friends since. To name just a few things about Nathan, he is a thought-provoking and idealistic cosmopolitan, always trying to make the world a better place.

I can describe Nathan with three words: funny, versatile, and sharing. He always has positive energy. Discussions with him expand your horizons and teaches you new things. He is very talented about languages. I like his style. He is not satisfied with having knowledge in a single area, and he is always open to learning. So I'm really happy to have a friend like him.

I want to say that together we can do better works. That's what we do in the NJE group. We research some topics and we share what we learn, we talk about it in English in our speaking clubs.
We are lucky to have a great teacher who is organizing these speaking clubs voluntarily, and also organizing everything very well. We are discovering new places in Istanbul as well. Don't you want to join us and learn more than English while improving your English? :).

Everyone knows him as Nathan but who is he actually? I will try to describe him with my words in which has taken place 3 or 4 years ago I've met him when I was taking English lessons in a language school, but he couldn't possibly be my teacher because he knew a lot about various domains of philosophy, I was learning new things about life and widening my horizons. Day by day my English skills were getting better. Time passed too quickly as we engaged in brillant conversations. I'm grateful to Nathan for having stopped the time for me, thank you for raising my confidence up in speaking English
I met with Nathan on the internet and I joined the speaking club. Thanks to this group, I am improving my English speaking skills as well as meeting new people and broadening my horizons. Furthermore, we are discovering new places each week.

Hello! My name is Pavel. I'm from Dnipro, Ukraine. I visited Istanbul in October 2017 and spent 7 amazing days there. I met Nathan when my tour was already about to end. If only it could happen earlier! He showed me a different side of Istanbul, the really Turkish side which was inaccessible to me because of the language barrier. I will never forget Turkish colour, cuisine, drinks and travelling through the history of Turkey – a trip to the Suleymaniye Mosque, the Bosphorus Bridge and some others. I only regret that I had very little time for personal communication with Nathan who appeared to be a great company and outstanding guide for me. I’m pinning hopes to visit Istanbul in June 2018 to learn more about Turkey and tell about Ukraine, especially taking into account a long mutual history of our countries. By the way, I have been exploring the history of Ukraine for more than a dozen years and I invite everybody to ask any questions about the subject. It will be my pleasure to reply. With kindest regards, Pavel.
We have met a long time ago at a mountain hiking event. When we were going down from the mountains something went wrong with my legs and I couldnt walk properly. Even though we have just met with Nathan, he helped me come down and carried me down to the village way. Ever since then we are very close friends. We have been thourgh many things together, we got lost in the mountains, hitch-hiked a few times, camped, played music, eaten muskatni orašić(nutmeg). Also we have constantly argued mostly about philosophical topics and ethics, religion, political systems, and ontology. He is a very intelligent person and has many abilities in diferent fields.
I met Nathan in one of the NJE events, I learned about Not Just English through social media, and I had the pleasure to meet a lot of interesting and like-minded people which can be a little hard to do in this time, especially in an enormous city like Istanbul. NJE was a platform to have quality conversations, exchange experiences, share ideas and make friends along the way. Nathan built a local community through these meetings where people felt among friends and got to do a lot of social activities. I applaud him for that, and I hope he continues doing the good things
